Movies Papa might have seen that night include:
- America, D.W. Griffith's take on the Revolutionary War
- Yolanda, a medieval costume drama in which Marion Davies played two parts
- The Song of Love, a spy story with Norma Talmadge
- Icebound, based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Owen Davis
- Daughters of Today, a cautionary tale of flappers gone wild originally released as What's Your Daughter Doing?
- A Society Scandal, with Gloria Swanson
- Flowing Gold, which prompted the New York Times' amazement over "the amount of movie hokum that can be packed into eight reels"
- Happiness, directed by the same King Vidor whose film Wild Oranges Papa had seen a few days before
- Love's Whirlpool, also dismissed as a trifle by the New York Times
